Real-Time Email Address Validation
You’ve got registration forms on your website and you’re capturing valuable marketing data. Or are you?
Did you know that up to 20% of email registrations contain syntax, typo, formatting, and other errors? Wouldn’t it be nice to have an automatic “spellcheck” for these invalid email entries before they make their way into your database? Now you can…
Who can benefit from this service?
Any company or organization that collects email addresses on a website.
Benefits to you:
- Prevent invalid or problematic email entries
- Build a cleaner database from the start
- Maximize your email deliverability and response rates
- Reduce marketing costs associated with bouncing emails
- Avoid being blacklisted by ISPs
What is Real-time Email Address Validation?
FreshAddress’s real-time email address validation can help you reduce point-of-registration input errors.
Our service catches and corrects invalid and problematic email entries in real-time at the point of registration on your website -- before they even enter your database.
Catches include:
- typos, syntax, and formatting errors
- domain errors
- “dead” domain names
- known blocked wireless domains (as mandated by new FCC regulations)
- Bogus, prank, or malicious addresses, where possible
It has been proven that our email address validation service out-performs any internal validation being done by even the largest and most sophisticated companies. Why? Because our proprietary knowledgebase contains the most extensive list of problematic email addresses in existance today.

How does it work?
Setting up FreshAddress real-time email address validation on your site is easy. You simply tweak the code on the website page where you collect email addresses.
When you activate real-time email address validation, here’s how it works:
- A customer or prospect types in their email address on the registration page of your website
- We cross-reference the entered email address with required RFC codes, our internal database of common errors, and our databases of suspect and malicious addresses
-- If the email is good, it is automatically accepted
-- If the email is problematic, an error message appears to the user
-- If there’s a hygiene error (misspelling, syntax problem, formatting error, etc), a suggested correction is presented to the user
It’s that easy!
